01. Inception of Centia PLT
Centia PLT was first established back in 2014 when I.Z Melvin and Jude Allen; who were both an integral part of the Hospitality and Tourism Industry boom saw the consistent and immense growth of the Industry yet simultaneously lacking the necessary workforce, skillsets, and talents recruited into the industry keep up with the ongoing growth. With that in mind, Centia PLT was born with the goal creating more skillful workforce in the industry which ultimately may lead to the improvement of Malaysia's Standards of Hospitality.
Centia PLT's training and development focuses on every aspect of the human capital in the hospitality industry. From each department of a Hotel or Resort to all areas of a Restaurant & Bar. Our team of dedicated Trainers and Industry players has collectively obtained over 100 years of experience from various different departments, areas and specialization in the field. With this knowledge and experience under their belts, our trainers are always adaptable and flexible to different training needs and scenario of an establishment.
Here at Centia PLT, our training content and materials have derived from all the experience amassed by the team; designed and put together with the purpose of uncaging the participant to the procedure or process of their respective department yet providing an insight and awareness on the procedures and processes expected of the delivered serviced product.

HRDF CERTIFIED TRAINER
Jude has more than 40 years in the hotel industry and is experienced in Financial, Operational and Administrative areas of the hotel.
Jude holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration (Finance) and Financial Engineering.
Previously, Jude served as Area Director of Hilton International, Chief Executive of Radisson Malaysia, Regional Director for Development for Radisson Asia Pacific and Executive Director of Radisson Asia Pacific.
Jude has conducted Senior Management Training for Hilton, Radisson and independently managed hotel. He was also a Guest Speaker at Asian Food and Beverage Managers’ Meeting Hilton International, Hilton International Operations Analyst Seminar and a real estate seminar on hotel opportunities in Malaysia. Jude is a certified HRDF Train the Trainer.
His vast experience in pre-opening, organizing marketing and sales, evaluation of computerized systems, feasibility studies, hotel planning exercises, management audits, development of control systems, negotiation skills, and other areas within the hotel industry make him an invaluable asset.

Graduate in Diploma of Architecture from University Technology Malaysia
Asrul Sari Ridzwan graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with a Diploma in Architecture. Asrul was involved in a number of developments e.g. The Zouk Club/ Velvet Underground, Perbadanan Putrajaya Complex & the Putrajaya Diplomatic Enclave (now Natural History Museum) in Putrajaya.
Asrul was also involved in a multitude of areas, i.e. Interior designing & fit out works in 2 Hampshire on Persiaran Hampshire, Troika Show Unit, Park House Singapore & The Maple Residence Common Lobby.
In F&B & commercial works, Asrul was involved among others in the design of Alexis at BSC, Gudang Studio, The Gardens Midvalley;
A natural visualiszer in his ability, Asrul is able to conceptualize designs that are intended by prospective clients and draw upon their ideas to create something unique.

Melvin has more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry especially in the areas of hotel operations and administrations in various capacities.
Melvin has gone through the Professional Development Program of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, University of Manoa, Hawaii, training programmes at Radisson U and Hilton International.
Melvin had previously served as General Manager in the past 23 years at various international brands. He had also served senior positions at Genting Group, Regent International, Radisson International, Signforce, Maya Kuala Lumpur and Lumira.
Melvin had been involved in several hotel pre-openings and hotel property turnaround engagements locally and internationally. He is a certified HRDF Train the Trainer and RPL Assessor (Recognition of Prior Learning) in upgrading skilled employees to Level 4 Diploma validated by the Great Britain College Consortium (Cardiff & Vale College, Wales; Cornwall College, England: North East Scotland College, Scotland and South West College, Ireland)
Ultimately it is not only his experience of being able to set standards but to carry them thoroughly is that makes him a valued professional in the hospitality industry and in the working environment of our modern society.

Nigel is the most recent addition into the Centia Family, A Graduate in Diploma in Tourism Management. Nigel also serves as a Research Analyst for a Boutique Hospitality Consultant Firm in Malaysia; Under this firm, he has conducted a multitude of Market Research Studies and Feasibility Studies for different local Hotel and Resort brands. His knowledge and expertise gained from his consultant work allows him to share knowledge and provide most up to date Hospitality Market and Industry relevant data.
In addition, Nigel is also fluent Digital Asset Management and Digital Content Creation. His fluency in digital literature puts him responsible of the management of Centia's Digital Assets and Training Materials.
